Where Did We Go?? Well, (if you didn't already...) now you know...

TED (EDWARD) PERRY ESBROOK 5/7/87 – 11/5/14

Esbrook Edward Obit Pic
Ted was an athlete, a musician, an animal lover.  His heart brimmed with love for his friends and his family.  He filled any room he entered with his joyful presence.  Most of all he was a good man, a loyal friend, a kind soul, and a wonderful son and brother.
Ted was born May 7, 1987, in Barrington, Illinois, and he passed away unexpectedly November 5, 2014, in Chicago.
He was a graduate of St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, attended Truman State University, and was a current student at Northeastern Illinois University.  He also was an employee at UPS. Following his passing, Northeastern posthumously awarded him his bachelor's degree in liberal arts with a psychology major.
He was the dear son of Rodney and Debra; fond brother of Ellie; loving grandson of Imogene (late Eugene) Barnewolt, and the late Norman and Stella Esbrook and life-partner of Kathryn Ross. He also had a black pug, Peppers, who truly misses him.  He will always be remembered and loved by his aunts and uncles and his cousins, as well as his many, many friends.
Ted was an integral part in the Phriends & Phamily Law Blog as well as helped to found and run the non-for-profit Phriends & Phamily Law Circle (offering low/no cost legal assistance in Illinois for qualified individuals). Since its inception in 2012 Teddy was an invaluable resource to everyone involved and assisted with and by the Blog and NFP. Without him, things just haven't been the same around here.
Yes, we have other wonderful staff helping to pick up the pieces but when you lose someone like Teddy being a part of your "something" (whatever it was...for most, "group of BEST friends" is where he fit right in...) it isn't just so simple to pick up the pieces, move on, and get back to work. We had to slow down...stop taking most new cases for a few months and unfortunately almost decided to throw in the towel on the whole "being helpful/the attorney who 'cares' " thing... but here we are, preparing now, a little more slowly, a little more quietly, a little less enthusiastically, a little more anxiously -- preparing to re-launch our Blog on 3.2.2015, approximately 117 days since I saw an image I will never be able to get out of my head of one's soul mate with no life carried in his head...just lying on the bed... but, of course we all know he's really now "dead" ... he's just somewhere else, turned into a different "self" after returning the body he had on consignment while on assignment to help us all in this world we are all now still within ~ but really, HE'S the one who "wins!" ... and one day we can all join him!!
=)
~peace.love&light to you all~
